Fact:
The African Wolf is a very vocal species, using a
variety of barking, growling, cackling and whining
calls.
Habitat:
Montane grassland, arid savanna and scrubland.
Threats:
Persecution for their role as livestock killers and
rabies vectors.
Range:
Southern and Eastern Africa.
Additional Information:
They communicate by scent marking and using a variety
of vocalizations which include howls, yelps, woofs,
whines and growls.
