The Pearl Wall
The exterior wall of the main theater whose
colors were inspired by pearls, which is an
important wealth in the past and a basis in
the national economy of the Emirate of Abu
Dhabi during the thirties and also a symbol of
enduring environmental giving, is
distinguished by the colors that were used are
gray, white and clamshell where displaying a
decorative architecture was known in the third
millennium before Birth in the Mesopotamian
civilization in the "Or Temple" where there is
the oldest type of this art called mosaics
where small pieces of glass, colored stones or
shells are used to form an integrated
civilized painting that reflects a specific
time period to represent a religious painting,
landscape, engravings or engineering.
The Palm Wall
The oasis is part of the environment of the
UAE and is distinguished by the many palm
trees that stand tall in the most difficult
conditions were and are still a source of life
and evidence of survival. It was represented
in an artistic and professional way indirectly
on the walls of the center that extends from
the first level to the third level and the
inspiration lies in the shape of the wall
similar to the trunk of the palm. The palm
fonds extends and the upper part on the
ceiling of the inner center contains a kind of
Lighting whose lifespan extends to 7 years.
Moreover, these walls are covered with a rough
material that reduces the echo inside the
building and its white color contributes to
the reflection of the lighting, which reduces
the energy consumption in the lighting.
Sharia and Aflaj
The center contains the design of the mother
well, which was one of the important parts of
the aflaj system that used to irrigate the
city of Al Ain with water and called the
lifeline. The depth of this design is located
from the third level under the ground to the
first level. its interior has also been used
mosaic in shades of blue that were inspired by
the colors of the Abu Dhabi Sea, also the
walls of the well contain open windows of
large sizes that were inspired by the
"mashrabiya" and it is an ancient architecture
that started from the thirteenth century until
the twentieth century and it was used in
several Arab countries extending from Iraq to
the Arabian Peninsula. Mashrabiya work to
soften the indoor atmosphere in buildings and
reduce heat.
Silver Ghaf tree design
The Ghaf tree is the national tree of the Emirates and there is an art model at the center located between the Sheikh Zayed Tribute hall and Abu Dhabi living world exhibition. It looks completely different at first sight and perhaps the viewer will not realize that it represents the Ghaf tree, as this was the artist and international designer’s message. "Tally Fischer " where it shows through her artworks the combination of scientific facts and nature to form the most beautiful types of art, and the artwork took more than three years.
As the design is a tribute to the extraordinary efforts of Sheikh Zayed in the field of preserving the environment, and this design bears a special symbol where Sheikh Zayed is considered as the hero of the Ghaf tree who prevented its cutting for any reason, so it was considered that it is presented at a high level of quality in design and manufacturing. It is made of aluminum, stainless steel, tubes, and stainless-steel bead chains.
